This role is contingent on contract award. Work is assigned event by event, through task orders. Selected candidates will be named in our proposal with a résumé of up to three pages.
As Project Manager, you are USTDA's main point of contact and you lead each event from the first plan to closeout.
Responsibilities

• Coordinate with government officials, private companies, foreign delegations, speakers, venues and vendors.
• Oversee travel and logistics, program development, participant management, risk mitigation, quality control and event-day execution.
• Manage several workstreams and competing priorities at the same time.
Requirements
• At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience planning and managing events: conferences, trade missions, forums, workshops, training programs or similar events, domestic or international.
• Proven experience managing complex, multi-part activities, including budgets, schedules, staffing and subcontractors.
• Experience coordinating with government officials, companies and foreign delegations.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or lawfully admitted to work in the U.S.), as the contract requires.
• A current résumé of no more than three pages that shows the relevant events and projects, with dates, locations and your role.
Preferred: Experience with international events sponsored by the U.S. government (USTDA, State, Commerce or similar) and knowledge of international trade.
