Job Description Job Title - Automation Engineer (Python) Location- Dearborn, MI (on-site) Automation Engineer Responsibilities - • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts using Python • Build and execute test suites using pytest or similar frameworks for integration and functional testing • Integrate AI/LLM-based tools to accelerate test case generation, log analysis, defect triage, or code review • Collaborate with automotive domain teams (ADAS, infotainment etc.) to understand test requirements • Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and work with engineering and lab teams to resolve defects • Maintain test documentation, coverage reports, and traceability matrices Required Qualifications - • 5–8 years of professional experience in Python development and test automation • Experience in Automotive infotainment, ADAS, telematics or EV/HEV systems, vehicle networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) • Practical experience with AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT/LLMs, AI-based test generation or log-analysis tools) to improve productivity, test coverage, or defect detection • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies (functional, regression, smoke, integration) • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
